...“We stayed at palm garden for 6 nights for our honeymoon, it was stinking hot and when we arrived we were served a juice while we waited to check in. the staff were very nice. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow - we were a bit disappointed that our bungalow was on the main path to the beach and out the front we had the place that you can hire water sports equipment from. We were also right next to an outdoor restaurant which played the same song three times in a row - literally! Our bungalow was very nice - we had an outdoor bathroom and bath/pool. Because it was outside again we could hear people at the restaurant/music and people walking past. We also had a family in the room next to us so we heard the kids playing a lot - not so romantic for your honeymoon! The housekeeping staff would ring the door bell and yell 'house keeping' as they let themselves into your room with their key - which I didn't appreciate as often we were having a nap or getting changed or using the bathroom. So we learnt to use the extra lock provided! Bathroom was cleaned well each day but our actually bedroom wasn't cleaned expect that they made the bed. They didn't take away our dishes from room service - we just ended up leaving them on our doorstep in the end. There was no entertainment really - although there were a few 'private parties' held at the resort which we couldn't attend - a nice beach party on the sand which was a shame. The resort was very beautiful and lush, nice beach and pool. spa services were expensive.”

“Palm Garden Resort is immaculate. The gardens and the grounds are all well maintained, which while it looks good, can be a little annoying if you enjoy the sleep in and don’t want to get woken up by the grounds man hosing and using their machines. It would be nice if they left it a little later, but the Vietnamese are morning people.
It has its own beach and an excellent pool. The beach was a bit blowy when we were there so we opted for the pool. The temperature of the water was absolutely perfect! There is a shuttle which goes into town on 4 occasions each day and returns which is more than convenient.
PGR is a 5 star resort. With that in mind, that is what the prices are based around. For Vietnamese standards it is quite expensive. The restaurants, the massages and of course the room rates. Compare them. We can definitely recommend it if you don’t mind the prices. There are a HEAP of new resorts starting to be built so look round and compare.”
